Where Do We Go from Here?
When you hit the fork in the road or even the end of it, where do you go from here? How can you make progress from regressing or diverting yourself from the chosen path? I don’t know and I ask myself these questions daily. I think about where my life is going and why I feel like I’m idling rather than gaining momentum. Has all the momentum run out of the ideas that I have or have I lost the fuel that once fed the fire in them? I don’t think my sentiment is in anyway original because I ask this question to many people and after persistent prodding and bothering, I came to some conclusions that while life gives many opportunities, at some point we reach the point of no return. Its not a horrible outcome for some situations, humans can adapt and grow to make their life whatever they choose. Yet a disturbing truth has been revealed to me that I had never thought possible; some people truly believe there is nowhere else to go.
Where do you go when you have exhausted your resources? Goals can be attained just as mile markers can be passed but where does it lead? To new goals, longer distances? Can you ever reach the peak? When you can go no further and all roads lead to the same place, is that the peak? Have you found the pivotal point of your parabola? I feel some people don’t even get that close, a glass ceiling separates them from everything they want without any understanding of why. Stranded in a world they used to know constantly looking towards the life they want. So many factors create this ceiling and while many of these factors can be changed, some simply cannot. We do not want to give up on our dreams nor think less of ourselves but when we are forced to face our shortcomings and know that life is just the way it is, where do we go from here?
Take a risk. Venture boldly. Change gears. Show up and conquer that fear of what if and the unknown by making it reality. I hope you know that it is far better to know you made a mistake than wonder if you will. So where do you go from here? I don’t know but what I do know is that the road will not be perfectly carved out for you nor will the choices be obvious to make. Be prepared, you are your own pathfinder guided solely by faith, hope and love. If you go into life knowing your going to fail there is no surprise ending. Yet if you go in knowing you will be happy, then you know your destiny.
Thanks
